Stefan Brands likes cash. Electronic cash. He spent much of his early career researching digital currency, and holds several patents to prove it.
But Brands also likes privacy. Electronic privacy.
As a senior cryptographer at Zero-Knowledge Systems, Brands currently focuses his research efforts on privacy in an increasingly network-centric world. However, his interest in privacy didn't begin at Zero-Knowledge.
Rethinking Public Key Infrastructures and Digital Certificates is an updated version of Stefan Brands' doctoral thesis.
